Welcome to Mannsdale Upper Elementary School!
Welcome to our exciting 2024-2025 school year. I am excited about starting this year as the principal of Mannsdale Upper Elementary. Many of you know my face because I have served as your assistant principal and literacy specialist for eight years. I am extremely excited about this year and all that it will bring.
I look forward to working with this great school community, teachers, staff, and families.
We are entering our second year as the first and only elementary school in Mississippi to have the distinction of being a School of Innovation. We are Mannsdale Upper, and we will continue the academic excellence started eight years ago by Dr. Debra Houghton through our MAVS on the Move, Leadership Academy, Student Council, Honor Choir, and Junior Master Gardener programs. The goal is to continue Building Citizens of Excellence through building relationships and engaging students in thoughtful and meaningful learning that allows students to grow and develop academically.
It's a great day to be a Maverick, especially at Mannsdale Upper Elementary School!
