We hope you find this website an informative tool that will give you a glimpse into the life of a Mannsdale Upper Maverick! We are ecstatic about our school! It is a state-of-the-art facility in Madison, MS, for students in grades 3-5.

The Madison County School District is one of the most desirable in our state, and the reputation of Madison County Schools is widely known and respected. Family Circle magazine named Madison one of the "10 Best Cities to Live in." We excel in academics, athletics, and the arts. We feel a sense of community in all our schools. It's great to be Maverick! 

Mannsdale Upper Elementary has continued on the path of excellence set in the Madison County School District.  We are the only stand-alone Elementary School of Innovation in the state. Our test scores are some of the highest in the state of Mississippi. Because of this, we were recognized as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon of Excellence awardee.

MUES features an extensive library with a customized reading room, an art room, a choir room, a gymnasium with a rock wall, an outdoor fitness center, and a large working greenhouse.  As part of our 1:M initiative, each student is assigned a device to offer enrichment through electronic means. Our hallways and classrooms are brightly colored. We have a school nurse and counselor meeting with students weekly. Students attend P.E., music, library, computer, Spanish, and art classes weekly. Students also meet with our counselor for character education classes.  Mannsdale P.E. students can participate in the Mississippi Blues Fun Run and the Junior Master Gardener Program.   We have introduced club opportunities to our 4th and 5th graders.  We have also implemented a  STEAM lab to help support our science standards and curriculum.  We love exploring and expanding student knowledge with engaging student activities.

Our excellent staff has been given a common planning time each day to plan engaging lessons. We use our Mississippi state standards to drive our instruction.  Our 3-5 students use Envision Math.  We use our standards and novel studies to support our reading development.  This year, our third grade is using Amplify to build the necessary background knowledge and skills for reading.  Please stop by and tour our state-of-the-art facility. Our enrollment in grades 3-5 is approximately 600 students.
